Relationship Therapy
Support for Couples & Connections of All Kinds
Reconnect with what matters most:
feeling connected.
Relationships can be utterly beautiful and nourishing. They can also be complex, confusing, and sometimes completely infuriating.
The connections in our lives aren’t going anywhere (even if there are some days we wish they would). The human need to feel a sense of belonging is hardwired into each of us, and we need them to feel emotionally safe.
Connection is still the key to accessing that safety, but many of us approach our present relationships with our past hurts and unresolved developmental traumas in our hearts.
Sometimes we just need a space that holds us both as individuals and the relationship as a whole to be able to access something different.
The “why” in the “we.”
Relationship therapy and couples counseling can work wonders to empower partners to speak their truth so they can fully understand how to support each other to receive love in their own way.
If your partnership feels stuck in negative cycles and it feels necessary to increase your understanding of each other, relationship therapy can be a safe container to compassionately explore how to meet the needs of each individual without compromising the integrity of the relationship.
Relationship therapy can open a space for you to:
Address specific instances and ongoing challenges in your dynamic with empathy and solutions in mind
Use the time as preventative care for your relationship and give your connection a “tune up” as needed
Get to the root of what’s under the surface in repeated disagreements or unresolved issues to understand where the friction is coming from
Intentionally take steps to foster a relationship that allows everyone involved to feel safe, seen, heard, desired, and loved
Therapy is for all kinds of relationship structures, whether more traditional or entirely unconventional.
Relationship therapy is often referred to as couples therapy or marriage counseling, but connections of all types are welcome here.
The therapy I practice is inclusive of ethical non-monogamy (ENM) and polyamory, is LGBTQIA-2S+ friendly, and kink-aware. Non-romantic relationships are also invited to work on their challenges together, including platonic friends and business partners.
My approach incorporates my expertise in the Gottman Method and Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples.
